Consultations
Katherine and Kara are Spoonful Herbal’s primary consultants, and offer a variety of services for farmers and homesteaders to get to “Know Your Backyard Apothecary”. Our primary offering is an onsite visit and plant walk to help you identify and assess the many medicinal and wild nutritious edibles residing there. We are also available for onsite medicinal preparation workshops, personal wellness consultations and more.
Katherine holds professional training as a clinical and community herbalism from the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, as well as graduate training in landscape inventory and assessment through UVM’s Field Naturalist and Ecological Planning program.
Kara has over two decades of gardening and landscaping experience in the northeast, and is the designer and manager of Rooted Heart Rising medicinal garden at Rock Point in Burlington, VT.
